Around 5 am I was in Donbas, Norway. Again tuna for breakfast. During the night temperature was a minus. On the way, there was a big road reconstruction. At Lom, the Sognefjellsvegen pass was closed and I had to reroute. But GPS in the car and Google maps glitched and sent me in circles. So I lost one hour there.
From there one old mechanic helped me. Ride over the mountain, nice views of the snowy landscape on fjell. Stop at a gas station, the gas was 74 €, and the chicken burger menu was 14 €. Followed by many tunnels, the longest road tunnel in the world was over 24 km Laerdal Tunnel with caverns on 6 km distance and 11 km Gudvangatunnelen.
Back in the city, I ate meatballs (26 €) at Pingvinen. They didn’t have a whale on the menu because the season is in summer. I should meet with Tar in Bergen, but she had to work. So I left the city.
On my way, I crossed Hardangerfjord with a ferry between Gjermundshamn – Lyngstranda and went up into the snow on another mountain over a narrow and winding road in Folgefonna National Park with another 11 km tunnel. Stary night.
