Japanese cuisine is Far East cuisine with meals that are designed to be balanced in nutrition, color, flavor, and presentation. Tradition with roots in Shinto, Budhism and Bushido. Most influence came from china (ramen, gyoza, chahan, nikuman, harumaki, karaage, shabu-shabu), Korea (BBQ), Europe (tempura, wagyu). But they perfected those influences. Best example would be beef, they eat it last 150 years and is revered as best in the world.
