Peruzza pizza place
Although the pizzeria is only a 10-minute walk away from home and it has been open since 2019, I only managed to visit them today. They are located at Peruzzijevije 63, Ljubljana-Rudnik (hence the name), opened daily between 12:00 and 22:00 (tel. 041779977). The former family house was converted by the owners (the Struna couple) into a friendly restaurant with a nice terrace, a large parking lot and a children’s playground.
In addition to 14 types of pizza (an option with Nutella – calzone?!) on the menu, they also have lasagna, gnocchi, salads, cold meats and a couple of desserts. They use high-quality ingredients from Italy in their dishes. The main pizza chef is Aleš Rekar. The dough is a mixture of Romanesque and Neapolitan style (2 days of rising and a minimum of yeast).

I choose the Peruzza version of the pizza. This one is somewhat unconventionally coated with shortly grilled roast beef. Pelata and mozzarella sauce is placed on a light dough, followed by arugula, meat, cherry tomatoes and Grand Padana. Like putting a roast beef salad on top of a margarita. After a few bites, I spiced it up a little with chili oil. The combination is very tasty, the ingredients are of high quality, the pizza does not lie heavy in the stomach, maybe a little soggy in the middle, the knife cuts well. Mostly quite satisfied. Of course, the price was a bit more expensive due to the selected ingredients and together with Schweppes it costed me a little over €16.
