Kozji vrh – Goat peak – boyz weekend
With friends we had the idea for a while that we guys just go somewhere for an extended weekend. We played with a couple of ideas, but in the end Gregor found an ideal house in Gorski kotar on Kozji vrh. Otherwise, it’s a bit out of our league, but Luka – the owner is from the neighborhood and Gregor knows him well, so was fair with us. We made a reservation and from 5 days we form the final option, where we left on Thursday after work and we were back on Sunday.
The house on the outside looks quite ordinary, but inside it offers above-standard equipment, which classifies it as 4 * accommodation (up to 12 people, toilets on all 3 floors). Here you will find a SPA (jacuzzi, sauna, massages), billiards room, smoking room, living room with kitchen, utility room, huge terraces and balconies with beautiful views, barbecue, … In 1 month there will be a swimming pool.
We have a few organizational problems on Thursday. One car goes to buy food and drinks (Leclerc and Pivoljub). Aljaž and I push on and wait for them for a beer at Lom. After a good hour we cross the border, but Tedej gets stuck with them because of his personal identity, because it was once stolen. He drives to Ljubljana again to get his passport, which takes him almost 3 hours. During this time, Luka and his brother frequent us. The evening is quite wild and we are having a few games of billiards.
The next morning I wander around for two hours and stumble back. What is lost is found, they are kind in these parts. When I’m already tired, I get a business call unnecessarily. We play a pantomime with Bojan and there is delicious food prepared by Simon on the grill. Some go to the sauna. This evening ends soon after dark.
The next morning is slow and starts with breakfast, omelette. There is pasta for lunch. Aljaž leaves home earlier. This time it’s Remi’s turn and we end up in the SPA, where we take turns in the jacuzzi and sauna. We get involved in a rather aimless debate. Around 2am I start watching the movie Nightmare alley.
The last day we play Texas Holdem poker, I’m minus 4 €. We eat eggs and some cold cuts. Some are in the sauna others are playing billiards. Now it is necessary to slowly put everything away. In the afternoon we are ready to leave, complicated by the open door and the pixie that falls. Another good hour’s drive and we’re back home.
Definitely a good boy’s weekend. Thank you Luka for the top residence (also booking gives him a rating of 9.8), Gregor for the organization, Aljaž for the ride, Simon for cooking and Tedej for Bojan 🙂 I hope that such an escape is an annual tradition.
