Fetiche – restaurant and bar
With Katka, we met after a few months. I was waiting for her in cold weather at Prešer square, again. We decided to go first for a drink before dinner. We went to Petkovšek embankment and sat at Premier pub. We ordered mulled wine and tea (4€). We had to catch up on what we were up to at this time. I talked about where I traveled, what I ate there. She mentioned what she prepared for Christmas. All that talk about food awaken our appetite and we were ready for dinner.

We moved across the river to Fetiche. Now we had enough of cold weather and went inside. I was here first time inside and eating something savory. The waiter was from Romeo, here to help them out and he was a bit confused. Katka recommended their pizza. They prepare new-age gourmet pizza made with sourdough. We chose 2 pizzas and shared, Parmigiana (BARLEY DOUGH, SAN MARZANO TOMATO, GARLIC, PARMESAN GRANA PADANO, EGGPLANT, CORN CRUMBS WITH HERBS – 12,90 €) and San Daniele & Parmesan (BARLEY DOUGH, FRESH TOMATO & PICKLED CAPERS, SAN DANIELE PROSCIUTTO CRUDO, PARMESAN FOAM, OLIVE OIL – 14 €). She had some Cabernet Sauvignon and I had Pink Grapefruit soda to salute for New Year.

It was all tasty, well prepared with top ingredients. But I wouldn’t call that pizza. The dough was far from what I recognize as pizza. In a way, it was closer to panini for me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this meal even it had eggplant. I think the bill was around 35 € and that part I didn’t like that much. I would recommend trying out this place, but I will not become a regular customer. It was time to end this evening. I accompanied Katka and continued towards home on foot.
