Castle Fužine Trije Kralji-23.6.2017

Klemen Klemen, RecycleMan (ex Ali En) & Zlatko

The Three Kings is a tour of the three most reknown representatives of Slovenian rap and hip hop. These are Klemen Klemen, RecycleMan (ex Ali En) and Zlatko. They imagined performances in Slovenian castles (Brežice, Slovenj Gradec Castle, Kamnik, Fužine in Ljubljana, Brestanica, Žužemberk and Ormož), as befits kings.

I attended a concert at the home castle of Fužine. We played here as kids in the late 80’s even before the castle was rebuilt. The ticket price was € 15. As a fresh expatriate from Fužine, I was happy to seize the opportunity to return. I joined Matej, who was there with the whole gang around 9 pm. Emir brought the whole family. I met quite a few more familiar faces.

Klemen Klemen was known from the times of school dances and later his first debut Trnow or when we met him at Eipprova, wet because he was just swimming and he needs a phone to call his sister. Ali En aka Dalai Eegol aka Recycle man started the whole scene (album Leva scena, where Klemen is a guest) and the memories go back to a concert in DC3 Dakota. However, my mother and his father took part in the same charity organization. Zlatko is a boy from the neighborhood and is of the younger generation. We sometimes shared table in bar with mutual company, but I remember his sister from the Bounty era better. Definitely an opportunity for nostalgia.

The trio certainly promised a lot. There was also a band from RecycleMan and Zlatkot (Optimists), DJ SSF, and guests. The older two members were more focused on their evergreen hits. Zlatko aka. Prince Fužinc emphasized his last album Žive naj vsi narodi. The performers took turns, some songs they done together on stage as well. Of course, the concert met expectations and the scenery of the castle was more than appropriate. The evening lasts past midnight and I was home around 1am.
