Union Olimpija vs Krka 85:75

Tone and I went to watch the match between Union Olimpija vs Krka. This was the 4th match in the final series for the winner of the first Slovenian basketball league. Olimpia had to win to retain the chance for the final victory.

In the fourth game of the SKL finals, the Union Olimpija basketball players defeated Krka with 85:75 (25:21, 51:36, 72:53) and tied the score in the victories at 2: 2. For Union Olimpij played: Hukić 17, Stelmahers 13, Baždarić 10, Jurak 10, Dujmović 8, Ilievski 8, Boisa, and for Krka: Gnjidič 15, Čapin 12, Mathis 1, Paravinja 2, …

The match was kept under control by the home players all the time. But unfortunately the visit to Tivoli was pretty dull and except for a small group of cheerleading group with a few youngsters there was no real atmosphere.

Despite this victory, Olimpia lost the next game by two points and thus relinquished the title. KK Krka won its second title, the first was in 2000.
