Ljubljana-Gorica-Rome 2024

In the morning I packed and moved to office. I thought that after work I will move on. Soon I realized I forgot my drivers licenc. So I went home earlier from job to pick it up. At 15:30 I took Nomago bus to Nova Gorica, 8.9 €, normal trip.

There I moved from station to meet ex-coworkers Robert and Branko for a beer at Beer Bar Galus. After nice chat it was time to return to station and take international public transport (not common thing) to Gorizia train station, 1.3€.

I had enough time for shop 11€ and toilet. As I arrived to platform there was a train 8 min before mine should depart. So I went on and it was wrong one. But I changed at Udine to correct one.

Now it was time for long, night ride to Rome. Seat was not comfy. I had FIP coupon, so didn’t pay for ticket 65 €, 90€ sleeper with 4 beds, 198 € sleeper with 1 bed, 10.5h; daily fast train (FrecciaRossa) is around 100 € 6h. I went to toilet, ate homemade sandwich, browsed on internet. In Bologna we should have stop for 1.5h. We were late so we had just 1h. With one other passanger we moved to Bombocrep to buy pancake and beer, as it was one of rare things open after midnight. We had to rush back. I found out that around me sat many slovenians. We had nice travel and sports talk. Later I tried to get some sleep but no luck.
