Chiang Rai

In the morning I went directly to the hostel, just enough time for fast packing.

We got a taxi to the bus station (100 THB). I had some problems changing the reservation to tickets. On bus had finally some sleep. On arrival at Chiang Rai, we had lunch at a small place near the station (70 THB for two). From the station, we had a walk to Baan Rub Aroon guest house (650 THB per room per day) in a quiet part of town. In the big house, we were probably only guests. While the owner was in Bangkok at reception they called her so she would ask if all is OK or we need anything. She didn’t charge us anything for postponing our arrival for one day. She arranged our boat trip to Lao (2000 THB person). After the bathroom, I went to bed and had good sleep. In the evening we walked but things were mostly closed or closing. After the shop (150 THB) we went back to sleep.
