Rome day 1
After an early night I woke up early, dog Bero came to say hello. I was in bed until 9h. Adela prepared interesting toast for breakfast, sauerkraut, and maple syrup. Later Emir took me to the airport, a nice chat on the way there. At the airport, no rush, slowly finished with all controls and sit down to write this blog post. Boarding at 11:45.
On the plane, I found an empty row so I could lay down and ordered a beer so the mask was off, 5€. We landed a bit late in Rome and it was crowded at passport control so I miss the first bus, 7 €. After one hour drive, we arrived at Termini station. 5 minutes walk to the place I booked, but nobody was there, half an hour of waiting for a single room that looks like a bathroom, 30 €.
Took a walk around town. Colosseum and Forum were already closed. But the crowd was enormous. From there on roads were filled with people, Trevi fountain, Venezia square, Spanish steps, Pantheon, Vatican, Bocca della Verita … Necessary stop at Mc, fries and ice cream combo, 11€. On my way home I stopped in a nice bar for a beer, 5 €. Went to bed around midnight.
