New Delhi at first
We landed at 03:05 (+2,5) at New Delhi airport, carpet on the floor. After the baggage claim, we changed 20 € and got just 1000 INR, it was rip off.
Around 5:00 we took a taxi to the Paharganj (320 INR), backpackers quarter, next to the train station. We were looking for a hotel and finally got one around 6:30, hotel Doube 600 INR for a double room (we paid an additional 135 INR for the agent who brought us there). After a shower, we went to sleep until 12:30.
We took a walk around the city. We bought water on street 10 INR. We changed 100 € for 5830 INR. We had a meal – vegetables, rice and tea 130 INR.
We passed the train station.
We entered Jama Masjid – India’s largest mosque attacked month later (30 INR for clothes, shoes).
Red Fort. Pepsi for 25 INR in the street. Rickshaw to our street 40 INR (taximeter 30 INR). In the Connaught at Gem bar, we had beer and cola 150 INR. At McDonald’s, we ordered the Maharaja Chicken menu 300 INR. It was raining a bit.
Main bazaar street was widened by cutting the first 2 meters from houses on both sides? In the shop, we got cigarettes, water, biscuits 300 INR. Another exchange 100 € – 5800 INR.
At My bar another beer and cola 130 INR, internet 30 INR. Paid taxi for the next morning 210 INR. At midnight it was time to go to bed as we moved to the airport at 3:30, flight to Leh.
