Munchen over Reykjavik to Seattle
We arrived early at the airport. We had 4 hours before the flight. We walked around the ugly airport and ate a sandwich. We had some problems finding ESTA confirmation.

I asked at check-in about a short layover in Iceland; the answer was it should be fine. At security, I left my glasses but realized soon enough. At the gate side I went for a cigarette and found a dog toilet. I drank water; Edin had coffee for 4.5€.

We boarded Icelandair flight on A320 (602€ all flights). We got seats at the emergency exit, great leg space. We waited for takeoff, again scared if we would catch the next flight.

On a 3.5-hour-long flight, we got some waters, multimedia on our phone via the internal network. Before landing, some nice views of Iceland.

We rushed for the next flight after landing in Reykjavik. Soon we were stuck in the passport control line. Almost half an hour; some people from the USA had the same problem. We thought we would miss the flight, but in the end we waited for boarding. On the B737 flight, we should sit in the last row, but the flight attendants moved us to another row with a middle seat empty. I was really tired by now. I slept a bit, watched a movie (needed my own headphones), ate a sandwich, and drank some water. On our way, we saw Greenland, some icebergs, and mt Rainier. We had mild turbulence on landing.

On arrival, we entered a big hall, where we waited for passport control for almost an hour.
I helped a Japanese boy with a baggage cart. An officer talked with us about the game.

Now we walked to the light rail, Line 1, 40 minutes, 3$. We arrived at American hotel hostel, 730$ for 2 bunks in 5 days.

We walked in Chinatown neighbourhood, saw some interesting characters.

We stopped at a food court; I paid 40$ for two burger meals (my burger was bad and Edin’s chicken burger was better). We waited for chairs, chatted with ladies at the next table. I searched for a place to smoke.
As there was a baseball game, many people had interesting Mariners jackets with philipino motive. Edin bought water and coffee in the store for 9$. We went back to the room to rest a bit. There was also another guest from India in the room.

Finally, we went out around 11pm. We walked around; at Pioneer Square we found a concert from DJ Diesel (Shaq). It was too cold for just a T-shirt. Some people were on drugs; a cop aggressively took one away. In the park we watched some amateur soccer.

Back at the hostel, we watched a bit of football on TV and talked before going to bed after 2 am.
