Madagascar – Morondava
After early waking, packing, breakfast and shop, 2x water, and cigarettes Good Look 10 000 ARI we took river trip 35€. We went upstream with pirogue. Our guide Johnny Reka Reka knew some Slovenians. We saw river banks, muddy river, gold seekers, rapids.
Of course, we thought the sun is not strong and it is behind clouds, so we all got sunburns. From there we moved to Morondava in 4 hours drive, where we slept at Morondava Beach Bungalows 80 000 ARI. We tried to have lunch but all the restaurants were closed for siesta so we went to the beach bar for rum 20 000 ARI. It was time to see the Avenue of Baobabs in the sunset.
Trees are huge and out of this world by shape/size/age, but for this, we lost 2 days! After taking multiple pictures in different settings while trying to avoid Chinese tourists we bought some souvenirs 10 000 ARI. It was time for dinner so we tried Chez Alain, with some seafood (tuna, shrimps), and with few drinks, it amounted to 110 000. It was a nice atmosphere with live music. Later we went to the rasta bar for some rum, some locals joined us, … After some arguing, we paid 60 000 ARI. Toilet there was an experience. Back at bungalows with some disturbance.
