Exploited at Train Station, Kranj 2004

I bought a ticket (25€) a few months before the concert for Exploited, a Scottish old-school punk band. Ivan tried a few days before the concert but didn’t get it. The weather was hot and humid. I was not too happy to go out. Before driving to Kranj I stopped at a gas station. I arrived there in half an hour.

I parked my car behind the station and went in after 8pm. The beer was 4 €. I missed Opran Možgan as they were early on. Soon Odpisani got on stage. It was still bright and the front of the stage was still empty. They had energy but didn’t connect with the audience. They finished after 40 minutes

After the pause on stage came Odpadki civilizacije, an old-school local punk band that were a support band for Exploited 38 years ago as well. With more political songs (24ur, Vojna, …), more people responded. They also played Vahid from Kuzle. After they got off stage another pause before the stars of the night appeared

Exploited came on stage around 22:45.  I saw Gramc, and he mentioned Riki was there. Despite their age (Wattie, 66 years), they showed energy. Fans got into the mood. They played the songs Fuck the System, Fuck The USA. After one hour they got off stage. On return they invited people on stage (around 50) to sing with them Sex & Violence. It was a challenge to get them off stage after. Few more songs before the end. It was a short show but altogether 4 bands were peforming for 4 hours.

After the concert, I talked to Riki. Then David came along. A band member Irish Rob passed us. We hang out until 3am. I rested in a car before driving. I came home around 6am.
