Spain- Portugal (27.4.-11.5.2014)

Gregor and I agree to go on our last trip before he got a child. It took a couple of months to finally reconcile. The basic idea was the Caucasus, but because we waited too long it didn’t happen. The next idea was Portugal and I found some option to fly to Seville and return from Porto, not optimal but better for last minute wasn’t possible. When he coordinated with Teja, we bought tickets and that was it.

1. day

Waking up, followed by packing the minimum, just hand luggage. My sister took me to the train station. From there we continue with GoOpti € 49 for both. The trip took 5 hours. It was raining on the way there, we had short breaks, I tried to get some sleep. Two Karst women and Lithuanians traveled alongside us, and we share mead with them. We finally arrived at the airport in Bergamo. A few hours of waiting followed. We sat outside, smoking, drinking € 5.5 beer and watching passengers, and listening to the wheels of the bags they are dragging behind them. In the meantime, we were into a debate and almost missed a flight, shit in the domain of a toilet, running around the airport, pujf going on his own. There is enough time for the Jagermeister, € 4.5 before boarding. We flew with Ryanair for € 70, on the plane, we ordered a small Heineken € 5. I played Zombies Vs Plants on the tablet. After landing we went slowly to the bus 4 €, beer 4 €. From the train station, we went on foot, two kids showed us the way to the pension Catedral, Tintes 22, where it was 14 € / night per person. When we unpacked, we went to the first bar for a beer, tapas, and shots for € 30. When they closed we move to the neighbors, beer, and arenas 15 €. We meet an Irish journalist. Late we went to bed tired.

2. day

Woke up and went to the toilet. I went to buy water at the shop for 3 €. Neighbors silenced us in the park. We went for a long walk. Than rested in the park. Big beer and sandwich 13 €. Debate, € 5 beer and tapas € 20. Back to the hotel for a little rest. In the afternoon we went to the cathedral. Bea joined us. 3. day

In the morning, everyone goes around the city a little on their own. I eat something quick for 5 €. Afternoon rest at the hotel. In the evening we watch the match Bayern:Real 0:4, …

4. day

It was necessary to get up at 7 am, pack up and head to the bus station. The bus left at 9am € 29. After three hours we arrived in Faro. My stomach started to make problems. Since we are now in Portugal we changed the time zone and it is one hour less. Accommodation in the hostel blablabla 15 €/ night per person in a dorm, but we are alone. We went around the city, beer 2.5 €. Rested back at the hostel. For dinner chefe Branco steak, lamb, snails, and drinks, 40 €. Match Chelsea:Atletico 1:3, and sleep after the match.

5. day

The rooster woke us up. We sat on the terrace next to the ice tea. The small beer in the city is € 2.5. We visited Osaka sushi, all you can eat, 35 € with a drink. Home, shower, watch the match, Juventus:Benfica progressed 0: 0. Fatima, dinner, and drinks € 30. The students are celebrating something, the city is lively on the way back. The hostel has a closed balcony door.

6. day

The rooster woke us up again, we rested on the terrace. During the day we visit 2x museums for 5 €. A walk to the old part of town. For lunch food and drinks 25 €. We went back to rest at the hostel. In the evening we went for a walk, to McDonald’s, beer, and oysters and watched the match Rayo: Atletic 0: 3

7. day

The rooster persists, getting up and packing, finished the ice t, and went to the train station. A sandwich to eat along the way. The train to Tavira is € 3. The accommodation we found in Pousada de Juventude 17.5 €/ night per person. The hostel is nice and new. We ate seafood for dinner, with an appetizer and a drink we pay 55 €. We visited two museums and went to the store for shopping. In the evening shower and drink before bed.

8. day

I eat yogurt for breakfast and I got sick, I vomit. We walked to the boat that took us to the beach. We took a walk there, had a drink, the sun burned us. On the way back we have good timing for the boat, from there the train. For dinner, w had soup and fish, 50 €. I didn’t sleep well through the night.

9. day

After breakfast we went to the bus station, the ticket was 20 €. We had to wait a couple of hours for the bus. Barbecue and chicken for lunch 16 €. Finally, the ride followed, the sun shined in our eyes. In Lisbon, we first had a drink and took the metro to the center. We had been looking for a Duque pension for quite some time – 13 € / night per person. We had codfish for dinner, which we paid dearly for.

10. day

In the morning we met Brunel, with whom we worked together in EuroBasket 2013. We bought a metro daily ticket for € 6.5. We went to the castle by bus. Upon return, we drunk a beer. From there we went to the Expo, fast food € 25, drinks and calamari € 15. After returning we went to the Irish pub, with the wedded couple we exchanged rounds. Manchester United: Hull 3: 1, Giggs as coach and player.

11. day

Getting up late. Metro daily ticket € 6.5, went to the Museum of Modern Art 2 tickets – € 20. Back to the room to rest. In the evening we met Blaž, a colleague from the PIPL association. Took the funicular to Bairro Alto. We had a beer, several matches in the background. Before we went to bed we ate a kebab.

12. day

Waking up, packing, train station. On the way Pasteis de Nata dessert and drink. We drove to another train station. The train was € 24 to Porto, also there we had to move to another train station for € 2. We drunk 2.5 € beers and went to pension Franka 13 € / night. The walk followed by dinner, chicken.

13. day

Waking up in the morning, went around the city. Lunch was at the Cap Verde place. A little rest in the room in the afternoon. We went separately out and met in the city. We continued together in the evening and had a party long into the night

14. day

Waking up late, hangover, lying down. For breakfast hot dog, short walk, beer, shopping. We watched movies, we had sushi for lunch. I went out to the cyber cafe to print tickets. For dinner, it was McDonald’s, another movie to watch, I can’t sleep again.

15. day

Waking up at 5:30. We took a taxi to the airport for € 30. Waiting and last purchases followed. The flight was € 50 by Ryanair to Bergamo. There we were waiting for GoOpti, which is 40 € and late. The way home took 5 hours, from the train station I went home by taxi for 5 €.
