Dominical-Corcovado-Paso Canoas
At 5 AM we woke and waited for a van that took us to Sierpe.
After paying entrance fees NP Corcovado and the rest we had breakfast.
Next, we moved on a boat. On way to track we saw some whales.
On the first hike with a guide carrying a telescope, we saw a bat in a tent he made from leaves, some birds, crocodiles.
We returned back for lunch, we were in a group with Maltese.
The second hike was to waterfall. On of Maltese girls sprained her ankle on the way so they returned.
We swam there. We saw crocodile again, Jesus Christ lizard, Ara parrots, some strange bird.
After showering it was time to go back.
We went through the mangrove, saw a lot of little crabs and birds there.
At the pier, we ran to the van that should take us to the bus heading to Panama City. We were late for the bus, they didn’t wait for us. So we were stuck in Palmar Norte, wet and without an idea of what to do next. So we were waiting for a bus to move closer to Panama, but it didn’t come. Andreja was a bit annoyed and was calling around without luck. Finally, bus to Cd Nelly 20 $ came, and on arrival, they put us on the next bus to Paso Canoas while it was raining.
In a border town, we paid some tax before leaving Costa Rica. Also, we wanted to spend Colones and had dinner there but spent too much and still was left with Colons. Finally, we crossed the border. We missed the border closing by 15 minutes. On the other side, there was a bus waiting for Panama city, just pure luck. Usually, on all buses AC is to maximum, so we are prepared, some blankets, hoodie, … But this time we just ran into the bus and it was freezing. So I pulled one by one thing I found in my small bag, extra T-shirt, socks, pants, hat. But it was still not enough.
