Slovenia : Australia 2:0 – Stožice first game

After the national stadium, Stožice was finished opening (friendly) game was between the Slovenian and Australian national football/soccer teams. Ljubljana as the capital city of Slovenia needed such a venue, even there were many problems with finishing the object. It was a nice summer evening. I went to the game with my nephews and brother-in-law.

In the first half, there were few chances on both sides but no goals. The second half was more exciting. The first goal was scored by Zlatko Dedić in 78. minute. A nice header from 11 meters after assist from Mišo Brečko. In extra (91. minute) time there was a second goal. This time scorer was Zlatan Ljubijankić from 22 meters.

It was a nice event. More than 16.000 people cheering, choreography with flags, even win from the home team.
