Lecce-Galipolli-Brindisi-Ostuni-Bari 2024

I woke up at 5am, took shower, ate breakfast (selfservice) and drove to Gallipoli in fog. I arrived soon and parked car, 0.5€. It was nice experience walking in old town on island by myself in fresh breeze. On my way back I stopped at gas station, 43€. In Leccee when I wanted to return car I had a problem, parking lot was full, tried to call around but no luck. Finally guy from rentacar showed. I lost almost an hour.

There I took train to Brindisi, 30 min, 9 €. There I checked old town, walked by the sea, ha a caffe, 1.3€. Now I moved with train to Ostuni (9€), white town on hill. On arrival I had trouble moving from station to town (3km).

Bus station was moved and I missed bus, taxi was 15 €. I decided to walk and hitchike, another taxi stopped for 5 €. Walking uphill into narrow streets full of tourists. When I decnded I took bus (2€) to train station.

This train I had to pay even I had coupons, as it was IC, but they let me go for free. In Bari left my bag at bar (Bounce, 5€). I bought bus ticket to stadium that was more then full. I met some spanish students there. Before entering game bought shal (10 €) and beer 2€. Inside was great atmosphere, first half without goals and it finished 2:2. Another drive back to city with bus. Driver was crazy going on thoriugh red lights and similar.

After picking up bag it was time for accommodation, Savoia Palace & Cavour. There were some mistake on their side but they gave me better room, on better location just for 30€. I showered and rested a bit before going out to see how is night life there. Most bars close after midnight, beer from 4 to 8 €.
