Lavello wedding, 2006

It was time for Antonio’s wedding with Nicole in the South of Italy, in the small town of Lavello, Basilicata. With Gregor, we went to Foggia by train. There Antonio picked us up by car and took us to a small hotel where other guests were stationed as well.

We met the rest of his family. They were really hospitable. The wedding was beautiful. The bride and groom were fabulous. After the official part we went to a great place for the party. There we danced, ate tasty food, and saluted to Italy, Brazil, and even Slovenia

For the wedding gift, we got them two bet slips, one that Italy would win and the other that Brazil would win the World Cup in Germany later that year. So when Italy won they got a nice sum, but it also could be nothing. Later they hosted us in Milano and spent that money with us.
