Hanoi to Istanbul
At 6 am, Miha and Pero got an idea to call me from Metelkova to say they miss me. First time I cancelled, but they were persistent. I didn’t mute my phone, so the guide could reach me during the day, and I forgot to turn it off.
This woke me up, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. After one hour, I got up, showered, and went for a nice breakfast- included. Back in the room, I decided to go for a short walk. I had fresh juice for 55k VND or 1,9€ and water for 15k VND or 0,5€.
Went to bed for two extra hours, showered and packed before checking out, got a gift. Realized I have a flight from Ho Chi Minh and not Hanoi back home, bought a low-budget flight ticket. This shortened the stay in the city.
Time for a walk in the city, old quarter, lake, cathedral, temple of literature, and Ho Chi Minh tomb. Grab to the airport 250k VND or 8.5 eur. Ate Pho Bo soup 120k VND or 4€.
The domestic terminal was nothing special. I waited for the flight with VietJet, 61 euros. I had a few hours to spend at the airport went to Burger King. 23:05-05:10 Hanoi-Istanbul flight with Turkish.
