Glamping in Ribno
Glamping in Ribno was the next choice to spend tourist vouchers. On Friday I leaft the office 2 hours earlier and when Andreja picked me up we headed towards Bled. After a 45-minute drive in changing weather, we arrived to the lake. Mercator has already been closed, COVID’s was reason that they are short of retailers. We sat by the lake and stopped in the city for a drink and pizza in Devil’s Cafe & Bar (21 €, no surplus).

Glamping Ribno
We slowly moved to Ribno, where we check in at the hotel (190 €). Than walk to the luxury cottage Arnika 18 inside Biker village. We had more than we need in the cottage. The interior of the houses includes 2 double beds, bathroom with shower, infrared sauna, 2 shelves, table and bench with two 2 chairs, 4 pots, mini fridge, Smart TV, Wifi, Cooling / heating, and on the terrace wooden bathtub with hot water and table with 4 chairs. We sit on the terrace while tasting wild pears schnaps from the Czech Republic, a gift from Zbynek.
Stara klet, Bled restaurant
We went to the Star klet inn in Bled for dinner. In the 500-year-old building, we got a table without a previous reservation. Most of the tables are occupied by foreigners. For an amuse-bouche we got pate. We were not too hungry and we only opt for the main course. I ordered venison goulash with Idrija žlikrofi, and Andreja chicken fillet with pea puree. We took a bottle of Teran Gulič next to it. We were both happy, it was delicious, but the portions are really extensive. Together we decide on one dessert, lava cake, which is not a surplus except for pops. We also took a bottle of Klenar sparkling wine home. With tip it was € 95. When we stepped outside, wind was blowing badly. On the way back we made a detour and saw a rabbit. We sat at the TV in the cottage for a while, listen to our music, drunk something more and fall asleep quite late.
I got up the next morning around 8am. For 15 minutes in the sauna and in the shower to wake me up. Cleaned up a bit and went to the hotel for coffee (€ 3.8). Second time to the hotel for breakfast, which was solid. The cottage was in the sun and was an ideal time for a hot tub. A good hour we soaked and have fun before we had enough. We still had plenty of time to pack and move to the front desk to check out. Behind the hotel there was a forest path where we took a walk.
Again to Bled and to Vila Prešeren for a drink and a huge toast (14 €). There we watched the ski jumps at Olympics where unfortunately we run out luck in the second run. From there along the north side of the lake to Zaka and back, in between we sat in the sun for a while. When we came back, we went to the Park cafe for cream cake (20 €). Before we went home, I bought cream cake – kremšnita from Šmon(27 €).
Nice weekend at glamping and Bled in good company. One more thing, which was made possible by vouchers.
