Chiang Mai 2
We woke up at 7 AM. After the bathroom and cigarette, I was ready for a guided trip (1700 THB pax). We were in a van with a local guide. First, we started with picking other tourists around town and then proceeded to a nice waterfall.

After a few photos, we went for a beer. Next was hiking in woods where we saw some burning resin and butterflies. While most of the group was slow we progressed a bit upfront with one Israeli couple.

From there among fields with the yellow ripe rise being collected with a sickle, we arrived at the coffee plantation and had some coffee.

Some spooky spider was there.

Next, we stopped at the local market for 10 min and for lunch in someplace by the road.

It wasn’t spicy or big portion but edible. First, it was some fried chicken as an appetizer, then some soup (to big scoop) and in the and rice with some sauce. We were seated with a German couple and Polish girl at the next table fall of chair. Next, we drove to the highest peak in Thailand (Doi Inthanon, 2565m). No effort need to walk there.

Alcohol is forbidden in the park but nearby was an interesting forest with trees covered in moss hanging down and memorial for the helicopter accident.

The last stop was King and Queen’s Pagoda, those are two temples on the neighboring hills with a beautiful garden in between.

While we were moving really slow we were behind schedule and driver was in rush on way back, tossing us around in seats. At arrival, we went to the terrace for beer and then in town to the night market where we bought some souvenirs.

We finished in a bar with live music. The band missed most of the lyrics as we drunk beer (400 THB) from plastic glasses, but the atmosphere was great. We came home around 1h.
