Central Asia day #5-Sary Tash to Osh to Andijan to Kokand
I woke up early, outside was -10 degrees, checked for stars but some lights and the moon ruined it. After a hot shower, it was time for breakfast (eggs, bread, marmalade, tea, biscuits). While the Pamir highway is a problem we decided to go the other way around to Dushanbe.
On to first marshrutka back to Osh, 400 KGS-4.2 €,. Interesting ride, with no suspension which was not good for my back, Russian from peak Lenin base camp. In Osh, we took a bus to another station, 15 KGS-0.16 €, and also some walking. Next was a minibus across the Uzbekistan border in the suburbs of Osh to Andijan, 120 KGS-1.3 €. Border took some time. It was crowded on marshrutka, and I had a kid in my lap for some time.
In Andijan, we first went to the train station and bought a ticket to Kokand for 72k UZS-5.5 €. At ATM got some cash, 800.000UZS-65.4 €. It was time for food and we chose a Korean fast food place, I ordered a lavash-wrap menu for 40k UZS-3.1 €. 1 more hour before the train. Boštjan was still hungry so we took one more meal, wings, 20k UZS-1.5 €.
After a 90-minute ride on a fast train, we arrived at Kokand. We walked to Kokand City Hotel, 300k UZS-22,4€ per night single room, some things were old some new. We made plans for how to continue this trip. Dinner was one shashlik aka kebab, bread and tea, 21k UZS-1.6 €. From there we went to shop for beer and water 15k UZS-1.2 €. After finishing the beer I went to bed.
