Blog statistics after 2 years
As for a first year, I also look back on how were things with the blog in 2021. I chose to compare just statistics by Jetpack. There is a slight increase in both visitors and views. Views increased by 7.5 % (24393/22667) and visitors by 32.8 % (16852/12689). It is less than I expected. Probably the reason is that in 1st year I published 1000 posts and it was new to visitors so they viewed more posts per visit.
Again, a top month was July (3373 views/2590 visitors), but there was not that much of an oscillation between months. Visitors are predominantly from Slovenia (77%), followed by the USA (5%) and the rest was from the other 100 countries. 360 posts were published in 2021 (approx 120 per language, English, Slovene, Bosniac). Most visits came from Search engines (2567, 15x result from the year before) and that is important to increase the number of people that came to the page as organic traffic. The post with the most views (1364) was about PST. The second was about food delivery – mostly organic traffic.
As for content, I managed to visit 10 countries in 2021, 3 out of those were new. It started with personal and professional trips to Bosnia, Croatia, and Italy. But later in the year, there were 3 trips in Europe; to Malta, to Italy (Vatican. San Marino) and last was Spain, Austria, and Czechia. Not the best year to travel but in COVID times I am satisfied. Also, I made some short excursions around Slovenia and discovered many beautiful places close to home. Tried to finish some posts from the past and did 1/3 of them. Some aspects of my home town Ljubljana are topics of posts.
Hi there! I understand this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does managing a well-established blog such as yours take a large amount of work?
I’m completely new to writing a blog however I do write in my journal every day.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and thoughts online.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips
for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
My blog is not that great but thanks for the compliment. And if you would like to succeed you should be persistent and put a lot of work into it. Also, post comments on another blogs so you will get backlinks 😉
