Tavern Danijela in Betiga

Tavern Danijela is located in the village of Betiga, just a few 100 meters from the tourist resort of Barbariga. The inn has a long tradition, where the son took over the management of the inn from his mother Danijela. The restaurant has a lot of space, but it is still better to sit in the garden. The restaurant serves mostly local fish and meat specialties. Here, among the appetizers are prosciutto, cheese, various plates, and soups; various pasta (gnocchi, fuži, spaghetti, ravioli), barbecue program (steak, ćevapi, cutlets, …) and seafood specialties (plate, hake, squid, …), salads and desserts. A classic offer in such an inn. They prepare all this at home in the traditional way. The same owner has a bar on Danijela beach bar in the Barbariga.

Danijela, Luna and I walk to Danijela’s tavern, 15 minutes. Here we sat somewhere in the garden. They had a swallow’s nest above us. For starters, we took one octopus in a salad together. The meat was soft and tasty, there was no shortage of garlic in the sauce.

She had fried squid as the main dish, and I had fuži with venison, this time it was boar. She complained about her choice. I liked my choice. Next to it, of course, we were drinking Favorit beer. We finished with the obligatory homemade brandy for the digestive and the taste was as expected. We paid 250 HRK. During dinner, the main event was the dogs, some tables had them and others didn’t like them, but everything went smoothly in the end. On the way home, a little rain.

Here we got what we expected in such a place. The interior is not the latest but especially in the garden it is nice, the food is delicious, depending on what you choose. The prices are quite affordable. The waiter is friendly, but he talks to himself more than the guests because he is quiet. For one such authentic experience, just visit this place.
