The Gambia is a small country in West Africa, bordered by Senegal on three sides and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, situated along the Gambia River. The Gambia covers approx 11k square km, the smallest mainlend country in Africa. The Gambia’s population is approx. 2.6 MIO.

The Gambia offers a variety of attractions: Kunta Kinteh Island (UNESCO  part of transatlantic slave trade), Abuko Nature Reserve, Bijilo Forest Park,
Sanyang Beach.
Gambian cuisine is rich and flavorful: Domoda (peanut-based stew, meat or fish plus rice), Benachin – Jollof rice (one-pot dish rice, vegetables, and meat or fish), Yassa: (chicken or fish, onions and lemon juice), Wonjo Juice (hibiscus flowers).
Transportation: Taxis: in cities shared/privat, Buses and Minibuses, Ferries over the Gambia River.
Currency: Gambian Dalasi (GMD). 1€ = 75 GMD.

Visa: Many countries’ citizens can enter The Gambia without a visa for up to 90 days. For others, a visa can be obtained upon arrival.

Power Outlets: sockets types G and C, voltage 230 V, frequency is 50 Hz.
