Sahara – Barbariga

Parents bought an apartment in Barbariga 2 years before and I now spent most of my holidays there. Probably, that year between primary and secondary school there was a slightly longer vacation. At that time, the barracs where the construction workers who built the apartment complex used to be was turned into a discotheque. Otherwise, it changed its name several times during its existence, but it is best remembered as Sahara.

The year 1992 meant the disintegration of the former country, the war, growing up and the first concerts and parties. Among the concerts, I remembered Željko Bebek – I thought he was really tiny, Novi fosili in some strange line-up, even Riva – Yugoslavia winner of Eurovision. An interesting summer full of strange events, where my sister and I were most of the time together.
