Peti 181 restaurant in Ljubljana

While waiting for the concert, I decided to try Peti 181 (named after owner/chef Petra Kapetanović; it opened in 2018 in a former family restaurant).  It is located in the center (Dvorni trg). I arrived soon after they opened and didn’t need the reservation I made, as it was not full yet at that early hour. I sat in the garden with a nice view of the castle, surrounded by a few plants to separate guests from the tourist crowd.

They are a Mediterranean restaurant, but I ordered beef shank. While I waited, I got an amuse-bouche: fried cheese with honey and za’atar herbs. I drank mineral water. The main dish was a good portion, and the meat was tender. As the side dish, I got creamy/buttery mashed potatoes and a green salad with roasted pine nuts and bittersweet dressing. For dessert, I got semifreddo with pumpkin oil, refreshing.

Everything was good here (food, service, setting) as one expects at this level of restaurant (Michelin guide mention). I paid 47.5€ with a tip.
