Ljubljana to London 2024

I woke up, ate breakfast and finished light packing (small backpack for 17 days, temperatures ranging from 0 to 30 degrees) before sister drove me to Brnik airport.

Problem with roaming, phone and mail with no luck. Outside was snowing, 0 degrees, heavy traffic. At security double check. I waited to board flight around  half an hour. On this 2.5 hours (10:30-11:50) flight some turobolance after take off, I got emergancy exit seat with extra leg space in middle, IPA 7€, early arrival 20 min. Long time since I was on easyjet flight, 45 €.

After landing at Gatwick it was time to move to city after all procedures. Because of bomb treath all transport was canceled. In the end I teamed with Italian girls and shared Uber, 40€ per person. Chat with driver about traffic and sports. He left as at Victoria. Beer 7€ to regroup.

I took again a walk around city’s main attractions after last visit 12 years ago (Harrod’s, Hyde park, Buckingham palace, Big Ben. From there I went to London Eye, 32 €. Nice view at sunset. Walk and metro north. I left my things at Macdonald Hotel (84€, 2*, shared bathrom).

At King’s Cross O’Neil’s I met Rob for a few drinks, round 20 €. Nice time there, tired to bed after midnight..
