Iceland

We landed around 2 pm local time. First task was getting a rental car for 150€ with insurance. Then we ate some food (nuggets).

Bought an eSIM, but it didn’t work. I drove a small car (KIA Picanto) to Selafoss. Went for a Subway sandwich there (33€). They suggested not buying water.

As we progressed too slowly, I canceled the visit to the Secret Lagoon.

Next stop was Geysir and Strokkur. I paid 7€ for parking. Some Slovenians were there. We caught Strokkur erupting. It was windy and cold. We bought some souvenirs for 15€.

Gulafoss is a huge waterfall. We got a bit wet there. We were late, so we just passed Thilingir park. I was speeding in the hope of getting there on time; while it was raining outside, we had no internet, and my phone was empty.

We got to the gas station (self-service; somebody helped me; 33€). We returned the car and had to run in the rain to the airport. But we made it in time, no crowd at security. At the gates we had time for a toilet, a sandwich and a cigarette before boarding among the last ones. Last flight on this trip, ok leg space. Again we had 3 seats for 2 of us. Still daylight on take-off at 00:30 am.
