Flight to Sri Lanka
After not much sleep I had breakfast, sister took me to station for GoOpti ride (11€/person, Danijela got some discount). We were late for 7:30 departure because my sister took ‘shortcut’ through the tunnel. While I didn’t have phone others (my co-travels Luka, Daniela and Max) were looking for me at the station among other buses, when I arrived they were pissed a bit. Besides our group there were also Nina and Blaž in the shuttle, also traveling to Sri Lanka. At Zagreb airport we had a drink on teras, looking for check-in, in duty-free bought cigarettes (29 €), waiting and eating homemade sandwiches.
We flew with Qatar Airlines (393 € return ticket), watched few movies (The Birth of a Nation, not impressed), moved to better seats, typical food, had few beers. Short layover at Doha, enough for sandwich, cigarette and toilet.
The next flight was again with Qatar, nothing special, typical food, played Who wants to be a millionaire and drank few gin tonics (strong with decoration).
We arrived in Colombo at 3 AM. Tired and bit nervous we somehow managed the immigration process.
With some bargaining, we got a taxi (2300 LKR I bought from Katarina for 15€) to Grand Orient Hotel (3-star colonial hotel, with a touch of the old, over-viewing port). Checking in took some time and we went to bed after a cigarette.
