Altroke restaurant Ljubljana
The last stop in this edition of Restaurant Week was Altroke. This Istrian restaurant (the name means “certainly”) is located in the old town.
On arrival I sat by the door, the place was packed. I ordered a fish menu. Bread and water were on the table.

Amusment bouche was meringue radish, cream cheese, lemon gel. Presentation similar to one at Jasna chalet.

The cold starter was marinated cuttlefish, green apple-fresh and sour, sour milk, and trout roe-salty. The waiter mixed menus, corrected soon.

The warm starter was roasted Jerusalem artichoke tuber with skin (popular this season?), gorgonzola, and walnut oil.

The main dish was Adriatic squid-big, not chewy, run away, gremolata-citrus, (fregula, black cabbage, crumbs).

Dessert – coffee biscuit, red-orange mousse, honey, red pepper, hazelnut cream with dark chocolate, raspberry sauce. with different flavors you can combine into bites you enjoy, again already seen?

I paid for the menu 26 €, a nice experience, good flavors, and helpful waiters. Next time I would pick a less crowded season. It was time to meet with the girls, protests, Andreja’s delayed birthday, gifts, and a flower.
