Singapore to Denpasar

After landing in Singapore, I had 6 hours before my next flight (07:55-14:00). After a cigarette and migration (an online form), I moved to the city by metro, 2.5 €, a few changes of lines before getting into the city.

At Marina Bay, I started my walk, from Gardens by the Bay, I passed Marina Bay Sands hotel (stayed here back in 2014), went to Marlion-mascot fontaine of state/city (fish with lion head). I bought a Coke at a kiosk for 2.5€.

At Boat Quay on the Singapore River, I found a place with Balkan food, Sahara, owned by former football player Esad Sejdić. I ordered čevapi (7x, good taste, some extra aroma) with kajmak (ok), got ajvar (ok), lepinja (not like back home), and onions on the side. With 2 beers and William schnaps, I paid almost 50€.

Next on my path was Ruffles Hotel. I stopped there for their signature cocktail, Singapore sling, 33 € (gin, cherry liqueur, Cointreau, DOM Bénédictine, fresh pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, Grenadine, Angostura bitters).

I returned with bus 36 to the airport, it started to rain, and I was sleepy. I walked around T3 and T2, visiting Jewel with Rain Vortex (the biggest indoor waterfall) before taking a shuttle to T4. 2 hours before the next flight at the gate. Next flight was 16:10-18:55 Singapore-Denpasar, 69 €, AirAsia,  A320-200, full, no leg space, turbulence.

On arrival to Denpasar migration process with online visa 29€ plus online Custom Declaration (e-CD) I filled out on the plane while waiting to get off. The process was a bit confusing, there should also be some payment for Bali 10 € but I didn’t pay anything?

At arrivals, cab drivers and 2 Australians. When I said I don’t need a car, they said I can’t smoke there? I walked to Nuka Beach Inn hostel, 7 €. It had all, bed, towel, drinkable water, hot shower, pool, fitness, rat, la cucaracha, …

After a shower, I ate the last homemade sandwich for dinner and went out. Beer in bar with music 5€ (rip off), in shop 2€, cigarettes 3€. Went back, it was time for bed. I was lying there for 2 hours and couldn’t fall asleep, even though I was really tired, I guess from jetlag.

I went out, found a motorbike to take me to the Legian party street 3 km away, for 3 USD. Beer was 3€, one bar was dull, the second was too loud, and in the third, there was karaoke. I met a Russian there, a tattoo artist from Sulawesi. I wanted to go home, but there were no taxis available. I walked toward home, found the bar still open, an English guy found me transport, bought a round for the table, 20 €.
