Upper Carniola 2023
With Andreja we talked day before that we would like to go on Sunday somewhere. Early in the morning first SMS came, but we needed some time before we left home at 11 am. First we drowe to Trboje Boathouse. We sat in shadow and enjoyed some drinks and snacks, 20 €.
We moved on around 1 pm. We ewanted to go somewhere by the water and we were deciding between Šobec, Bled or Bohinj. We decided on site. There was not to much traffic so we passed camp Šobec, at Bled it was to crowded so Bohinj was left. On our way to Bohinj Hungarian car was driving really slow.
We moved to Ukanc, couldn’t park in camp so we moved to moutain lodge Savica (parking 5 € for 3h, 3pm until 5pm). We had a drink and snack (22 €). We walked up to 78m high Savica waterfall (8 €) on well maintained path (150m hight difference, 20 minutes). I was without breath at the end but I it is easy walk uphill. There is magnificent view of waterfall and green pool below.
We returned back to car and drow to Ribčev laz and further to Stara Fužina where we parked (9 € for 3h, 5pm until 8 pm). We grabed a meal at Kramar, burger and kranjska klobasa with drinks (38 €). It was hot in the sun and meal was tasty but I got just few potatoes in comparison to other tables. Also they didn’t take card payments.
Finally we went to the beach and cooled a bit in lake. Water was not to cold and many fish swam by. After we dried we slowly moved back to car. Again just cash payments and we hardly scraped money for parking.
Now it was time to return home. Now an urainan car was driving slow in front of us. To skip traffic we turned into local road at lake Bled, over Selo and Ribno, narrow road and nice local architecture, gained 10 minutes. We tried to buy kremšnita at Šmon but it was closed (opened until 19h). Road to Ljubljana was OK, I was at home before 9 pm.
In general it was nice day, we visited nice places and had some activities as well as relaxation. But prices were a bit too much, whole day was more than 100 € (entrance, parking, food, drinks, gasoline). While there is so much people there they can get away with this ridicolus pricing.
