Joker (movie)

One Sunday I went to kino Dvor theater as one of the last shows for movie Joker. First, there were some changes who will go, tickets almost not bought, …

But when we finally sat there and the movie started after 5 minutes of promotion of other movies it caught my attention right away. It paints a dystopic atmosphere right from the beginning. The setting is in ’70s-’80s with a strong color scheme. (Anti-)Hero is slowly degrading until he snaps. Joaquin really made this movie strong, while it is mostly a character study. He lost a lot of weight for this movie, his facial expressions were strong, but I was impressed by his body presentation. We find ourselves being compassionate with this villain in the end. This movie took a side character that had notable performances before (Jacko in Heath) and went event step further by focusing on him alone and his personal development. There are critics in favor and against the movie, but for me, this was strongest I saw from 2019 so far.
