Villach in 2026
Yet another trip with boyz. This time it was just across the border to Austria as we couldn’t aline schedules for longer trip. They picked me up after my lectures around 19:15 with Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53! Before that they went to shop to buy food and drinks for the weekend (125€). Now we drove to Villach, we had one short stop close to Kranjska Gora on our way. We used Wurzenpassa sKaravanke tunnel had 3 km line. We rented there a big house outside city (Frida’s place, 3.5km) with abundant space and great views (525€ for 5 person for two nights).
We unppacked quickly and took Uber to old town (30€). We went to Villacher Brauhof but we were too late for dinner, we got just few pretzels. We had chat with Croatian waiter. After a drink (50€) we moved on. Next stop was at Irish pub McMullens. In basment they had live bend playing some rock songs. After they finished we stayed for one more drink (40€) and it was time to go to bed. We had trouble finding taxi (22€), ATM. Back in house we ate some sandwiches. I fell asleep on couch.
Next morning we slowly gathered, had breakfast and moved on. Today we went to football match close to Salzburg, Seekirchen am Wallersee. We needed almost 3 hourse to get there. We stopped once on gas station and there was some works on road. We passed Tauren tunnels (15€ one way), nice views. We went to game in 3rd tier between local Seekirchen vs SV Wals-Grunau (12€ ticket). Weather was great, stadium was OK, atmospher also good. Home team won 4:2. Guests opened game better, but didn’t score, so SVS got into lead and built on that until the end. Both teams created chances, they played quite agressive. While watching game we had sandwich with meat-cheese (3.5€) and beer (5€).
Returning back home was a bit faster, some rain outside. In house we rested a bit before going out to dinner. With taxi (38€) we went to Fleischerei Fruhmann. We had some spare ribs and steak, we opened with cold cuts. with drinks it amounted to 105€.
One more drive with Aziz’s taxi (38€). Back in house we rested by TV, watched on Netflix documentaries abouty Vinnie Jones and Vardy, went late to bed.
Next morning bathroom, breakfast and packing. We drow to Worthsee, stopped in Portschach. Ther we had nice walk by the lake, had a drink (28€) with some live music in background. Now we drove to Pyramidkogel tower (17€). From top you have great views of Worthsee.
Before returning to Slovenia we stopped for lunch at Gasthof Plasch. For lunch we had some fried chicken, sausages, mixed salad and dessert (200€). Yet another drive back home, this time over Loibl pass. We changed cars in Trzin. I arrived home around 17:30.
