Santiago de Cuba-Baracoa

In the morning we moved again. This time it was a bus to Baracoa. More than 5 hours on the bus. We stopped on our way at Guantanamo. From there we continued on La Farola, mountain road passing hills with a lot of serpentines. In the middle of nowhere, we stopped and bought fruit and chocolate from natives.

After arriving in Baracoa we searched for casa particular. Later we walked around to grab some street food and sat in a bar for a beer.

At the next table, there was a couple with a bottle of rum on the table at 15:00. We thought to our selves, they must be Russians. But soon we recognized Slovene words. They joined us and explained one bottle costs as two mojitos do (approx 10 CUC). It escalated quickly and soon three bottles were on the table. One local vendor joined, explaining his many wives and gave away necklaces he was selling to us an hour before. In the late afternoon, we come home wasted and went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night and after a short stroll went back to bed.
