After work I met with ex.coworkers for a beer at Kofi Galerija and later stayed for a drink with Luka (20 €). I got hungry and decided to try new Georgian restaurant Tiflis, as I visited this country few months ago. I moved there with taxi (5 €). It is located on hillside and closte to tunnel under castle. Before was here pizzeria Tunnel, popular with students.
On arrival I waited more then 10 minutes before waitress came to my table. I ordered soup Kharcho (beef, rice, tomato, onion, garlic, herbs, Georgian spices) 8.80€, main dish was stew Chashushuli (veal, tomato, herbs, onion, garlic, paprika, Georgian spices) 12.00€ and Khinkali stuffed with cheese and spinach 10.90€. I had some orange wine and mineral water.
Soup was hot and tasty. I got some home made bread on side. While I was still eating soup I got stew on the table. It was similar but stil different from soup. Last arrived khinkali, 5 pieces, thev were big but softer then one I tried before. Wine has specific tast and mineral water was bit slaty. In general they will have to improve service, food was OK, prices bit high (38 € for all).
