Cousin told me he was going to a concert by Rolling Stones, so I decided to join him and bought ticket (200 HRK, approx. 25 EUR). Concert was scheduled for 28.5.1998 but Keith Richards fell and broke few ribs so it was postponed for 3 months to 20.8.1998.

On the day of the concert, I went by train from Ljubljana to Zagreb. On the train I met some friends from high school, we shared some wine. At the station, a cousin was waiting for me and we went to my uncle’s place. In the late afternoon, we walked from Savica to Hipodrom.

They estimated there were over 80.000 visitors. For me the biggest spectacle at that time. Tour Bridges to Babilon was a great success in general. They opened a concert with Satisfaction and continued in a good rhythm. Mick Jagger even spoke a few words in Croatian to the great amusement of the crowd. We heard 5 songs from the new album, which was a weak point of the concert for me. They moved to B-stage, bridge to Babilon after Keith had his moment. The concert ended with fireworks and it was time to go to bed. The next morning I returned home with a great memory.
