For breakfast cookies and coffee. We walked to port, they would accept only cash. At ATM I used credit card Visa, mistake. They charged me for 250k XOF=411€ (5% comission by Visa + 5 € by bank). We bought ferry ticket 19k XOF for berth in 8 beds room. Now it was time to get visa for Guinea Bissau. We were first, waited for clerk, went to office, waited more, paid 25k XOF=38€. We went back to Ker Adja, picked up luggage and took quick shower. We bought beer and water at gas station, 2200 XOF=3.3€.
At bus station share taxi 4500 XOF=6,8€, waiting, cola 400 XOF=0,6€. In the back we were transporting 300 chickens that made quite a noise. Half hour to border, one side, other side, walk between.
In Santo Domingo they checked our lugagge. On our 6 hours ride we had many stops; for police, for driver friends, for flat tire, to rearange chicken …
We arrived in Bissau after more than 6 hours. We walked to the main road and took a taxi (blue Mercedez) 2000 XOF=3€ to Casa Cacheu Guest House, 30€. But our room was not free on arrival, they gave it to other guests.
We took a walk in the old town (colonial colorful houses), and to the port (Turkish boat for generator). On our way back we stopped in a nice bar (O barril) for beer 1500XOF=2,3€.
For dinner at Bar Metro Lavapies I had grilled squid, Boštjan had prawn and soup. Mine was tasty, but he got a bigger portion for less. With beer, it was 15000 XOF=22,7€. On return, we got to our room, and shared bathroom.
After shower we went out again. We tried ice cream at Gelataria Gellati, 5k XOF=7,6€ (expensive).
We went back to the same place for finger food and beer 4500 XOF=6,8€.
