Stari Tišler (Old Carpenter) Inn is placed in city center close to main station (weeh:10:00 – 21:00, Saturday: 12:00 – 20:00; Kolodvorska ulica 8, phone: 00386 1 430 3370). This place is open since 1905, part of Ljubljana heritage since 1990 and lastly renewd in 2008. Here you will find rustical interior and nice garden in the back. They have even few rooms to stay over night here.
I visited this place after long time during lunch break. Usually one would order here some traditional meal (jota, triper, sausages, …). Also you can find good pizza or burger here. This time I experimented and took paella. First I got creamy vegetable soup, huge bowl. Next was paella, I would call it rather risotto with fruti di mare, but still it was tasty. On side I got mixed salad. I finished with dessert, some kind of puding, nothing extra.
I paid for everything 13 €, big portion, tasty, nice interior (only table was not stable) and ok service. I will visit them next time for something traditional when I am not in hurry.

With collegues from work I visited this place again, got beef soup and breaded fish fillet and potatoes this time.
